Why This Programme?

Delivered over two weeks, the Young Entrepreneur programme combines 30 hours of business-focused tuition, including an entrepreneurial project, with 30 hours of Work Experience or General English. The course aims to give students a better understanding of what it takes to run a successful enterprise while improving their English language skills and becoming familiar with the culture of British business.

Key issues, including branding, marketing and advertising are explored in a carefully designed programme. During the length of the course, students’ new-found knowledge will be put into practice by executing an entrepreneurial project that will help them explore the challenges behind creating and running a business.

The summer break is the perfect time for parents and their children to enjoy time together as a family. Twin English Centres Parent and Junior English programme gives them the opportunity to travel to the UK to study English with Twin. Parents and juniors attending this course will learn in separate classes, allowing Twin to design the lesson content with each group in mind and keep it engaging for all age groups.

Course Information

Adult Classes

As an adult learner, you will attend our international General English class with other students where there will be a focus on improving all of your key skills; reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary. Whether you choose to stay for one week or the full two months, we will aim to help you improve your fluency and confidence when using the English language.

Junior Classes

Children, aged 10-15, will attend a junior English class where they will follow an exciting syllabus which aims to better their spoken and written English through fun and games.

Ramsgate Homestay

Why This Programme?

Churchill House School in Ramsgate is located in a quiet residential area less than 10 minutes’ walk from the town centre. The school is in an attractive nineteenth century square overlooking public tennis courts and the harbour. The main buildings date from 1814 and although they have been modernised they still retain their charm. Classes and activities will take place across the square in one of our school buildings with spacious, modern classrooms. Close to the classes is school Clubroom, with a range of facilities including a self-service restaurant, pool table and in the evenings it is one of the venues for centre disco and karaoke nights.

Course Information

Students are tested before arrival by school online testing system and classed with students of similar ability. Students learn in classes with a maximum of 15 students, but an average of 13. Throughout the week, students receive 15 hours of tuition where they explore areas such as vocabulary, sentence structure, listening, speaking and much more!

Accommodation

Homestay programmes are perfect for students to completely immerse themselves in the culture and language of the UK – enjoying the opportunity to practice English in a real-world setting with their hosts.

All Churchill homestay ‘families’ are carefully selected by our local accommodation managers who know the area well and inspect each host family personally. Churchill families do everything they can to welcome students to their friendly homes and to make their stay happy and successful.

Activities

All of Churchill students are encouraged to activate their spoken English, not only through classes, but also through the activity programme and excursions. Each student visits fun and educational places on one half day and one full day trip a week, which allows them to interact with other British people and use their English.

St.Lawrence College

Why This Programme?

St. Lawrence College is situated in Ramsgate, a historic seaside town on the southeast corner of England. Ramsgate has a picturesque harbour, some lovely Regency architecture and a sandy beach – perfect for enjoying the long summer days!

St Lawrence is in the area known as the Isle of Thanet, which includes several Blue Flag beaches and the seaside towns of Margate and Broadstairs.

Make music and have fun in Churchill summer drumming circle! Enjoy playing African djembe drums and other percussion instruments to make amazing music together as a group! The school drumming sessions are free for students at St. Lawrence College.

Duke of York School

Why This Programme?

Duke of York School is a large campus in the countryside just outside the historic port town of Dover and within sight of the famous Norman castle that protects the port. The school is 200 years old but has extremely modern facilities including the new junior accommodation buildings and a state-of-the-art theatre. There are also huge playing fields, a beautiful Edwardian swimming pool and a terrific sports hall.

This centre is perfect for younger students, allowing them to feel comfortable in the multi-bedded dorms making new friends and learning from each other from different cultures. Older students will also benefit from the wide range of facilities the school has to offer.
